JUL 18 | Inferno Fashion Show

Inferno Fashion Show

Austere Magazine Presents: Inferno

A Dante’s Inferno inspired runway show in Dallas. Come experience the 9 circles of hell with us through fashion and design.

Our fashion show will take the audience into the nine circles of hell as Dante sees it. Each circle will display a talented designer’s line from DFW, Austin, Portland and New Orleans. Brace yourself for a high-intensity, performance art-filled show complete with actors and contortionists.

The journey will begin in limbo where the unbaptized dwell while the second circle of hell consists of the lustful. Next is the hell for the gluttons where it constantly rains. The fourth circle consists of those guilty of rage and sloth. Within the fifth, there are the heretics, and next we have the violent who are transformed into trees to atone for their sins. The circle for the fraudulent is the seventh where those condemned are the corrupt politicians, fortune tellers, and gypsies. Lastly, is the ninth circle. The one for traitors. Here, the deeper they go, the more the ice consumes their bodies.

  • Limbo (The Unbaptized) x Joe van Overbeek
  • Lust x Cheyanne Bartley
  • Gluttons x Romey Roe
  • Excessive Spenders x Mira Hashem
  • Rage/Sloth x Elvira Diaz
  • Heretics x Lucy Dang
  • The Violent x Emmanuel Tobias
  • Frauds x Bladi Duran
  • Traitors x Mario Alberto

With styling by Landon Simpson of Conservative Circus.

LuminArte Gallery‎Muse - Opening Reception

“Muse” is the manifestation of inspiration. The artist is a conduit to something universal, to a collective unconscious insight that reflects culture, society and subjectivity simultaneously; yet the artist needs a focus, a revelation.

LuminArte Gallery presents “Muse,” featuring numerous Texas based artists, including Michael Pavlovsky, John Milton, Ekaterina Kouznetsova, Jim Lively, Matt Anzak, Jonathan Davis, Toni Martin, Aralyn McGregor, Julia Pappas, Corrie Jorns, Cathy Shepherd, Stephen Hartzler, Sergei Rodionov, Ben Britt and Jessica Manheim, as well as fashion designs by Mario A. Gallegos Jr., performance art by Lauren Stout and musical installations by Joel Sampson. Regional talent like Matt Jeppsen, Ray Ferrer, Bronwyn Towle and Mia Tyler will also be showcased alongside international artists Viktorija Bulava, Victor Frankowski, Esther Wertheimer, He Si’en, Luba Muravyeva and Nicolantonio Mucciaccia.
