Deemed by the Dallas Observer as the best festival of 2015, Oaktopia explores the nature of Denton through art, music and culture. This year, Oaktopia will add a fashion showcase to it’s lineup. Inspired by Denton’s eclectic style, the show will mix fashion, music, and projections with a diverse group of local boutiques and designers.
Show producer Ashley Nicole Whitby recently told DFW Style Daily that you can expect “vintage clothing, recycled headpieces, edgy menswear, plus-sized designs, and androgynous looks.” Read the full interview here.
Agents have been briefed and surveillance is complete. Come “spy” some fashion and have a little fun as eighteen of Dallas’ brightest designers create a “spy”tastic show for the 10th anniversary celebration of FashionCITED!
The FashionCITED fundraiser started as a “thank you” to LHT from one of its clients. Ten years later, FashionCITED has become the “BIGGEST little fashion show” in Dallas!
All proceeds benefit the clients of Legal Hospice of Texas. Legal Hospice is a nonprofit law firm that provides timely, compassionate legal services, at no cost, to those who are terminally ill or living with HIV disease in the DFW area.
Take the glitz and glamour of New York Fashion Week, the fanfare of Bravo’s Project Runway, mix it together with the nostalgia of MTV’s Fashionably Loud and “KVIL RUNWAY 1037” is born! CBS Radio is bringing a classic high fashion event to one of the country’s biggest metro areas where it belongs – Dallas Texas!
Complete with the best of DFW’s local designers, runway show, cocktails, gourmet bites and special musical guests, “KVIL Runway 1037” will usher in a new era in high fashion and will put the Dallas Metroplex on display as the high fashion capital that it has become.

The Pin Show is Texas’ Premier Event for the Independent Fashion Industry. Take this opportunity to showcase your Independent line on a runway before your target market, including industry buyers, reps, retailers & clientele. The Pin Show will produce the perfect environment to introduce your line for 2015. Designers will be hand selected by our committee of producers and fashion industry professionals.
The Pin Show is seeking independent designers in slow artisinal fashion, this indicates to us that you are either creating the product yourself or using local sew / design houses that pay an above average wage to produce your products. We are not seeking lines made overseas at this time. Designers must be producing in their local economies, so if you are based in Chicago, you need to be producing in Chicago in order to qualify. We are seeking both seasoned artisinal designers, as well as those who are just getting started.
This Year, The Pin Show is taking Independent Artisanal Fashion to the next level. Here are just a few things they are looking for:
- Designers creating their own lines using in house or local contractors
- Domestic Fair Wage working conditions
- Exceptional Fit
- Innovative Design
- Quality Fabrics (mostly natural fibers!)
- All forms of Fashion are sought, including accessories, shoes, handbags, jewelry, men’s wear, evening, sportswear, etc.
- All Accepted designers will produce 6-10 full looks for the runway show, these designs must be new for the 2015 Pin Show event.
