Destinee Duncan, an actress and fashion designer from McKinney, Texas will debut her Winter Ice 2016 Collection from her kids/junior clothing line Glossy Girls.
The Glossy Girls Walk the Runway Dallas Event is an annual runway show promoting youth empowerment along with featuring designers from all over. The launch of this event premiered in Flint, Michigan in 2015. Destinee is honored to bring the premier event to Dallas to help promote youth from all over while raising money and awareness of the water crisis in her hometown.
Destinee has been creating and sketching fashion designs since she was only 8 years old. In 2014, she became the youngest fashion designer to appear at Austin Fashion Week with her Glossy Girls designs. Destinee Glossy Girls line has graced the runway at Atlanta Fashion Week, Fire & Ice Runway Show, Fashion Week Dallas Premier Show, NOLA Fashion Week, Fashion X Dallas, and Dallas Teen Fashion Week where she was also presented with the Young Talented & Gifted Award.
Flea Style (formerly The Dallas Flea) takes over 100,000 square feet at Fair Park to showcase the best of the best handmade, vintage and one-of-a-kind wares from Texas artisans and small businesses. Dallas’ most notable young talent in the world of fashion, art and design will be celebrated during the Rising Stars event. Galleria Dallas will set the stage for a seated runway show produced by Jan Strimple featuring retailers from Galleria Dallas. FGI of Dallas members will choose the winner from the 18 nominees competing in Fashion, Art, Accessories, photography, Make Up, and Interior Design.
March’s First Fridays fashion event will feature a collection from Dallas’ own SMITH II by Charles Smith.

FFFWeek® is searching for plus models who are 5’8″ and taller in their bare feet and between sizes 14–20, but we will consider plus petite models (in the same size range) with strong runway abilities.
Models will need to bring:
1) Completed model application (see website)
2) Either a current composite card and/or two photos (a beauty shot and a full body shot) which are clearly shot, unobstructed by props (i.e. sunglasses) and show you and your body in the very best light.
Submitted photographs and comp cards can be no more than one year old. Photos will not be returned.
For the casting, models must wear stylish, well fitting clothing that looks good (we will be filming the castings) and allows to see your natural curves. A foundation garment worn underneath your clothing is also recommended. Also, be sure to wear some make-up and a hairstyle that flatters your face. No bare faces, please.
Bring a closed heel (no slingbacks, platforms, stilettos, excessively high heels and/or boots) that is at least 3 inches in height and no more than 4 inches in height.
